  1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal

Caution:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  1. Remove steering column cover lower

  1. Detach the 4 claws, release the tilt lever and remove the steering column cover lower.
  1. Remove ignition switch assembly

  1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the ignition key cylinder light connector.
