The eps (electronic power steering) system generates torque through the operation of the motor and the reduction gear installed on the column shaft in order to assist steering effort.
The power steering ecu determines directions and the amount of assisting power in accordance with vehicle speed signals and signals from the torque sensor built into the steering column assembly. As a result, the power steering adjusts the steering effort so that it is lighter during low speed driving and heavier during high speed driving.

When measuring resistance of
electronic parts
Unless otherwise stated, all resistance
measurements should be made at an ambient
temperature of 20°c (68°f). Resistance
measurements may be inaccurate if measured
at high temperatures, i.E. Immediately after the
vehicle has been r ...
Intermediate shaft speed sensor "A"
Description
This sensor detects the rotation speed of the counter gear. By comparing the
counter gear speed signal
(nc) with the direct clutch speed sensor signal (nt), the ecm detects the shift
timing of the gears and
approximately controls the engine torque and hydraulic pressure accord ...
Compressor lock sensor circuit
Description
This sensor sends 1 pulse per engine revolution to the air conditioning
amplifier. If the ratio of the
compressor speed divided by the engine speed is smaller than a predetermined
value, the air conditioning
amplifier turns the compressor off, and the indicator blinks at appro ...
