- Repair valve seats
- If the seating is too high on the valve face, use 30° and 45° cutters to correct the seat.
- If the seating is too low on the valve face, use 75° and 45° cutters to correct the seat.
Standard width 
- Lap the valve and valve seat by hand with an abrasive compound.
- Recheck the valve seating position.

Connect the intelligent tester to the dlc3.
Turn the ignition switch on.

The connector should not be disconnected from
the ecu. Perform the inspection from the
backside of the connector on the wire harness
side.
When no measuring condition is specified,
perform the inspection with the engine stopped
and the ignition switch on.
