Toyota RAV4 (XA40) 2013-2018 Service Manual: Sliding roof switch assembly

Removal

  1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal

Caution:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  1. Remove map light assembly

  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips and remove the light.

Hint:

Tape the clip remover tip before use.

  1. Disconnect the map light connector.

Inspection

  1. Inspect map light assembly

Toyota RAV4. Inspect map light assembly


  1. Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance


If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.

Installation

  1. Install map light assembly

  1. Connect the map light connector.
  2. Attach the 4 clips to install the map light.
